Summary:

We are searching for an Assistant Director of Security Services -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for managing Security Services operations including personnel, electronic systems, access controls, and customer services at facilities which includes hospitals, research facilities, clinics, health centers and physician practices. This role also ensures that all requirements regarding security, financial performance, regulatory compliance and customer service are met.

Responsibilities :

 

  • Plans, directs, and oversees implementation of comprehensive security systems and programs for the protection of patients, families, staff, and facilities at all locations including budget and staff performance
  • Coordinates with leaders during the planning and development of security programs that address the organizational security climate to ensure positive customer relations
  • Manages Security’s Environment of Care responsibilities through participation on the Security Sub-committee and the Regulatory Readiness Committee. Analyzes data and prepares reports as required by the committees or Director
  • Develops and maintains operational budgets and prepares business case justifications for the growth or replacement of systems and/or personnel
  • Monitors and discusses personnel and financial performance on a monthly basis with the Director


Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement or related field required
  • CHPA preferred
  • PRO PROF preferred
  • Meets all requirements for a Manager License with the Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Board
  • 6 years management experience in law enforcement or commercial/proprietary security operations, including 2 years management/leadership experience required
  • Prior experience in managing complex security systems preferred
  • Prior healthcare preferred
