Summary:

We are searching for an Assistant Director of Revenue Integrity -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will oversee the monitoring and improvement efforts within the functional areas of revenue integrity related to charges and charge capture to support efficient and compliant revenue cycle operations. The Assistant Director has the primary responsibility for the organization and direction of the system's denials management and prevention program, including claim denials, audits, and appeals. The assistant director oversees and directs a team and works closely with the Revenue Integrity Business Analysts to identify special projects and develop new procedures to reduce net revenue leakage for the system.

Responsibilities :

  • Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports which includes clinical and non-clinical reimbursement specialists and coordinators
  • Provides training, coaching, and development of team members to meet performance expectations and demonstrate continuous growth and development
  • Provides tracking and trending of problem areas, as well as measurement of improvement against clearly defined benchmarks
  • Develops procedures and processes to improve efficiencies and reduce net revenue leakage due to denials. Utilizes internal change management resources to effectively communicate new procedures to internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversees the Epic external audit workflow, including the determination of scope and assignment of ownership. Develops strategies to maximize system integration and ensure a lean process flow
  • Oversees the revenue charge capture system to promote accuracy and integrity across revenue generating departments of the organization
  • Maintains regular communication with project stakeholders, including running recurring meetings and providing project status updates in a clear, concise written and oral communication


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, nursing, or other related healthcare, business, or science field required
  • Master’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, nursing, or other related healthcare, business, or science field preferred
  • 5 years healthcare experience including 2 years of supervisory management experience required
