We are searching for a Child Life Media Producer -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will oversee the successful daily operation of the technical assets which enable interactive close circuit television, music studio production and other Kids Own Studio productions. You will design, produce, edit, and implement deployment of new Kids Own Studio programming, document usage of those technical assets, coordinate testing, maintenance, replacement, retirement, and upgrades and identify operational problems and solutions which may arise in the course of daily usage of these assets.

Responsibilities :

  • Manages the successful daily operation of the technical assets which enable video and audio production of Kids Own Studio programming
  • Creates and edits content for 24-hour child life close circuit television as well as video project requests within the child life department
  • Provides production coordination and direction for Kids Own Studio Programming
  • Checks technological components of the Kids Own Studio video, audio and computer equipment daily and maintains daily organization of stored media on hard drives
  • Oversees and keeps current an accurate log of all Kids Own Programming activities
  • Maintains contact with other institutional practitioners through membership and participation in professional organizations and site visits
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of patient care issues, including clinical procedures and processes, patient rights, patient privacy issues (including HIPAA) and medical record routine
  • Instructs users in use of audiovisual equipment as necessary.  Mary orient, train and mentor other staff, students and volunteers as technicians


  • Bachelor’s degree in film/media production or related field required
  • 2 years’ audiovisual production experience preferred
