Summary:

We are searching for a Audiologist -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide the highest quality age-appropriate audiologic care for patients newborn to 21 years of age within the scope of practice and established practice standards for Audiology. The Audiologist functions effectively as a member of the clinical team by providing advanced practice to patients. This role also provides informal education for and serves as preceptor and mentor of other staff members.

Responsibilities :

  • Provides age-appropriate diagnostic assessments and interpretation
  • Complete documentation meeting departmental standards for content, accuracy and timeliness. Written reports must accurately and clearly describe history, test results and recommendations
  • Counsels/educates parents regarding test results/recommendations/financial resources
  • Serve as mentor for Clinical Generalist or student extern
  • Provides at least 2 director approved ½ hour topic or case presentations per year to staff, residents, parents, community, and other professionals
  • Self manages schedule to improve productivity by regularly accepting add on patients, suggesting opportunities for template improvement, and being flexible in work hours to meet patient needs
  • Acts as an audiology project leader, committee leader or specialty team leader
  • Advises and works with manager, director and advanced clinical specialist to develop clinical programs that enhance revenue generation


Qualifications:

  • Doctorate required
  • Doctorate in Audiology preferred
  • Texas Audiology License from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (or Texas Department of State Health if issued prior to 2017) required
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • CCC-A or ABA certification required
  • 3 years post-graduate Audiology experience preferred
