Summary:

We are searching for an Implant Coordinator -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for assuring that all OR cost centers track implants and meet the hospital requirement for ordering, charging, and stocking of implant items.

Responsibilities :

 

  • Manages the implant inventory in Epic/OP Time and in the Hospital Information System
  • Interfaces with Service Coordinators to manage and minimize supplies on hand
  • Reviews all case logs that have implant usage
  • Produces needed reports for compliance and regulatory and for daily operations
  • Maintains professional standards by participating in services, professional development, and keeping informed of hospital/departmental communications as evident by in service roster
  • Demonstrates consistent positive interpersonal skills in dealing with staff and visitors to generate a feeling of trust and caring as observed by supervisor
  • Performs quality checks on all processes to ensure that practices are currently meeting compliance and regulatory standards


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
  • Associate’s degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement or an associate’s degree in a related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining an RN license required
  • Technical diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement required
  • Must be currently enrolled in a nursing bridge program working toward an MSN. Verified BSN-equivalency or a signed agreement is required
  • RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Licensure Compact required
  • 2 years operating room experience required
