Summary:

We are searching for a Technical Supervisor-- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide effective guidance and operation of the laboratory in compliance with departmental and Institutional goals. This role will coordinate technical procedures to ensure that high quality laboratory services and testing are provided to patients in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will also provide operational leadership to the staff within the lab via direct supervision.

Responsibilities :

· Collaborates on the performance of routine and complex procedures

· In compliance with CAP regulations, ensures data integrity of reports (including paper and video displays) to all viewing and reporting systems throughout the IDS

· Oversees the quality control/quality assurance programs

· Facilitates computer operations

· Coordinates/supports continuing education programs

· Develops competency and training tools (checklists, training documents; competency checklists, competency exams) for Hematology/Coagulation procedures

· Assist with AD and/or Manager with financial operations

· Provides operational leadership to the staff within the lab via direct supervision



Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in science required

· 4 years’ experience in a laboratory setting, one of which is in the area of specialization

· BB-ASCP, C-ASCP, CG-ASCP, CLSP-NCA, H-ASCP, HLT, M-ASCP, MB-ASCP, MLS-ASCP, MP-ASCP, MT-AMT, MT-ASCP, MT-State, SBB-ASCP, or SC-ASCP certification required
