We are searching for Evidence Based Practice Specialist -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will Integrate the principles of best researched evidence and clinical expertise with patient's unique values and preferences to decrease variation in care, improve patient experience, improve patient outcomes, and lower costs. This position works independently and interdependently with multidisciplinary teams to develop evidence-based clinical standards (e.g. evidence-based guidelines, evidence summaries, or evidence-informed pathways), implement clinical decision support that can be integrated into practice and monitor adherence to outcomes. Scope of practice includes researcher, educator, consultant, clinical expert, administrator, and change agent. This role also uses evidence-based practice and outcomes to achieve optimal patient/family care with the goal of improving patient/family outcomes.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinates the development of evidence-based clinical standards and clinical decision support within the Quality Outcomes & Analytics – Evidence-Based Outcomes Center
  • Develops project plan for the development of evidence-based clinical standards
  • Manages timelines and deliverables associated with clinical standards development
  • Consults in areas of expertise
  • Serves as an educational resource for the hospital, community and other healthcare professionals
  • Facilitates change in clinical practice by reviewing outcomes data with improvement teams, clinicians, administrators, patients/families, and the community at large
  • Acts as a clinical resource to staff and other members of the health care team seeking to improve quality and safety of patient care
  • Supports and facilitates the attainment of institutional goals and strategic plan


  • Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, nursing or another clinical research related field required
  • 5 years’ experience in healthcare required
  • RN license preferred
  • 3 years’ leadership and quality improvement sciences experience preferred
