Summary:

We are searching for an Employee Development Specialist in Business Services— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. This position will participate in the design, development, and presentation of training programs and education projects aimed at enhancing the competency and performance of staff. Duties of this role may include assistance to other staff in scheduling, room management, registration, charge capture and other similar processes. You will also oversee the ongoing maintenance of training documentation, including updates and revisions to documentation as work processes evolve.

Responsibilities :

Job Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Participates in the development and maintenance of an Education Program that outlines the strategy, roles, processes and tools to support ongoing education
  • Participates in the development of Education Program strategy, processes, and tools, including but not limited to, classroom, computer-based training (CBT), multimedia and/or other forms of training delivery
  • Delivers structured and customized training and development programs for employees
  • Training competencies of supported applications such as document imaging (Hyland Onbase), claim processing, automated call distribution (ACD Avaya), call recording software (NiceLog), online benefit verification (Emdeon/PWL), MedAssets and other applicable applications
  • Provides new employee orientation and delivers structured training customized to the employee’s specific job function. Ensures competency testing is completed and an action plan is in place for noted deficiencies
  • Responsible for conducting training programs for all newly hired employees to ensure competency requirements are met for all job functions
  • Actively participates on various organizational and departmental committees and teams
  • Recognizes opportunities to improve individual and team performance and collaborates with managers, Leadership Team, and others as appropriate to continually improve performance


Qualifications:

Skills & Requirements

 

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required
  • 3 years of experience in related healthcare work or teaching experience
