Summary:

We are searching for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll provide quality basic nursing care as you assist the health care team in collecting data, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate care that is family-centered and cost-effective.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the collection and documentation of patient/family data, which includes biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual, and environmental information
  • Accurately collect and document observations and interventions such as vital signs, height, weight, neurological checks, pain, et cetera
  • Provide input for the development and modification of the patient’s plan of care
  • Follow up on abnormal labs and confer with the MD/LIP as necessary
  • Perform generic and unit-based critical competencies
  • Provide care in accordance with the established treatment plan and identify needs and problems along the way
  • Document the care provided and the patient’s response to the intervention as evidenced by chart review or supervisory observation
  • Assist with the management of prescriptions
  • Perform triage of patients scheduled for appointment by notifying the LIP immediately of any patient’s immediate health needs
  • Intervene at the registration desk for the possible infectious process, fever, or other acute distress
  • Triage patient telephone calls and ensurely the timely flow of patients
  • Perform general lab duties, such as quality control and chart audits, and maintain logs accordingly


Qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Diploma in nursing
  • LVN license and BLS certification
