We are searching for an Epic EMR Educator/Principal Trainer - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll design, develop, schedule, implement, present, and coordinate management and staff training programs for the Epic training team to enhance their personal and professional development and achieve organizational goals. You will develop the Epic training environment by investigating processes to understand the data and communications flow within our integrated delivery system, as well as delegate training tasks and develop Epic competencies for end user groups and team members.

Responsibilities :

  • Assess and identify training needs for Epic end users with the production support and optimization teams, Epic customer service, and unit-based educators and make sure the programs are relevant to the project scope and objectives
  • Review various technology options (video, web, et cetera) and set appropriate training methods
  • Ensure programs are designed, developed, and scheduled to utilize relevant learning activities and promote an interactive learning environment
  • Oversee the development and preparation of training aids to enhance participant learning
  • Review current programs, assess future training needs, and recommend topics for future programs
  • Serve as the training representative as assigned
  • Manage the Epic training environment for assigned end user training
  • Maintain current documentation of the Epic training environment
  • Work closely with those responsible for updating/tracking the project implementation and optimization plan
  • Develop, schedule, and facilitate the process for test plans and build requests
  • Conduct management and staff training programs to provide an effective and interactive learning environment
  • Collect and evaluate the feedback on program objectives


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4 years’ experience teaching adult programs or related work experience particularly in an Epic EMR environment
  • Bachelor’s degree will substitute for 4 years of work experience
  • Master’s degree will substitute for two 2 years of work experience
  • Direct work experience at the Epic Systems Corporation will be counted at a premium, with every 1 year of Epic Systems Corporation experience counted as 2 years of experience
