We are searching for a Front Office Specialist II – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for both clinical and non-clinical duties. You will gather information, assess, and provide direct care to patients. You will also work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to render population-appropriate care for low-acuity pediatric patients. Additionally, you will coordinate the referral process, enter accurate billing information into system, and transmit accurate claims.

Responsibilities :

  • Assists with the collection of patient/family data
  • Collects and documents vital signs, height/weight, and reason for visit
  • Provides general patient care
  • Prepares patient for examination per site protocol
  • Administers medication and immunizations as directed by physician per site protocol
  • Documents adverse reactions to medications per policy and procedure
  • Verifies provider order and patient per site protocol
  • Collects specimens and performs laboratory tests
  • Maintains and prepares reagents appropriately and performs and documents required reagent checks, including monitoring of expiration dates
  • Provides operational support
  • Performs reception duties and screens phone calls
  • Collects and disseminates mail and deliveries per practice protocol
  • Notifies practice manager, or designees of needed supplies weekly
  • Serves as a practice/family resource regarding managed care questions
  • Ensures that all necessary patient forms are completed for the visit
  • Reviews billing information and processes patient payments
  • Scans encounter sheet and all other relevant data to patient encounter into EPIC with 100% accuracy and within timelines established by practice
  • Files, archives, and retrieves medical records per office protocol
  • Maintains integrity of medical record and monitors patient information and other practice data


  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduation from a medical assisting or emergency medical technician program preferred
  • BLS required
  • 2 years’ related experience required
  • Bilingual fluent in English/Spanish preferred
