Summary:

We are searching for a Pharmacy Technician -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will assist the pharmacist with clinical and audit operations. This includes calling providers offices or pharmacies, completing data analysis upon request, completing scheduled audits and tracking results, and other miscellaneous scheduled tasks.

Responsibilities :

  • Assists the pharmacist with conducting vendor oversight and internal process control activities
  • Conducts root cause analysis, presents findings, and offers recommendations
  • Track progress and outcomes for clinical projects. Maintain dashboard. Identify discrepancies, trends, and conduct root cause analysis as needed
  • Assists with clinical activities, implementing projects, and preparing presentations
  • Contacts provider offices, pharmacies, and pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) as needed
  • Reviews claims data for potential fraud/waste/abuse. Provides recommendation to Pharmacist
  • Checks all available means of communication including e-mail and mailbox every shift


Qualifications:

  • RPHT-TX certification from the State Board of Pharmacy required
  • CPHT certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board preferred
  • 1 year experience in health plan, PBM, or other managed care setting preferred
  • 1 year experience with data analytics and familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred
