Summary:

We are looking for a Project Manager – someone who works well in a fast-paced and demanding setting. In this position, you will be responsible for the managing the technology that is required to run hospital and business functions, such as IDFs, low-voltage cabling, HVAC, security, network, telecom, workstation, printers, wireless, clinical devices (biomed), and associated IS application integrations. Responsibilities :

  • Serves as project manager for various multi-faceted strategic and business-related projects
  • Formulates, administers and maintains the detailed Project Plan, which will include all required activities, tasks, risks, issues and resources requirements, leading to a successful and timely implementation
  • Determines, analyzes, and formulates current practices, user needs, and workflow processes, issues and potential solutions on projects
  • Analyzes project standards, methodologies, and impacts
  • Identifies and resolves problems quickly and appropriately, and ensures communication is maximized and conducive to a positive, productive work environment
  • Determines, analyzes, and formulates analysis of workflows, processes and data in regards to current practices, stakeholder needs and potential improvements
  • Analyzes metrics and suggests appropriate sample size, measurement and validation methods
  • Knowledge of key IT infrastructure architecture designs, including MDF, IDF, data centers, low-voltage cabling, network, wireless, telecom, workstations, printers, biomed devices, and other clinical technologies required for the project
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry and related IT systems
  • Very fast-paced project management environment, requiring managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge of facility construction activities and when IT activities must be inter-scheduled to ensure project timeline is met.


Qualifications:

Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, Biology or other business, healthcare or science field required
  • 4 years’ business, project, finance or healthcare experience required
  • A master’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, Biology or other business, healthcare or science field can be substituted for two years of experience
