We are searching for an Assistant Clinical Director of Nursing, Inpatient – Pavilion for Women - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll manage and oversee clinical, administrative, and Human Resources activities, as well as coordinate and ensure the delivery of high-quality, developmentally-appropriate, and family-centered care at the unit level.

Responsibilities :

  • Participates as a full partner with Medical Director and in partnership with healthcare provider team to ensure cohesive department communication 
  • Partners with staff, medical and unit leadership to ensure clinical excellence within a family centered care environment, utilizing multiple sources of information and reports 
  • Demonstrates astute fiscal accountability, for area of clinical responsibility, as evidenced by the appropriate management and justification of resources, which includes personnel, equipment, supplies and capital 
  • Creates and facilitates collaboration and cooperation among diverse groups, people and professional disciplines to achieve desired results 
  • Facilitates staff participation and participates in the Quality Outcomes Program and/or unit-based quality initiatives for developing and monitoring exemplary clinical outcomes 
  • Conducts appropriate investigations and follows-up on individual and patient complaints 
  • Strives to achieve the goal of Joint Commission accreditation through collaboration with colleagues in other departments to ensure all requirements are met 
  • Submits performance planning documents, ongoing planning materials, action plan and department goals 
  • Reports financial performance monthly 
  • Assures that new staff attends departmental orientation within 30 days of employment


• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required

• Master’s degree in Nursing, Business or a healthcare field required

• RN license from the Texas Board of Nurses or Nurse Licensure Compact required

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required

• 3 years’ management and leadership experience required


• NICU and/or OB experience preferred
