We are searching for a Facilities & Operations Project Manager -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide leadership and support for the facility needs of the Facilities Operations/Security Services Team. You will plan and manage the outcomes of renovation, maintenance, and capital projects assigned to Facilities Operations/Security Services (FOSS). You will also provide leadership and support to the Director of Facilities Operations/Security Services (DFOSS), Assistant Directors of Facilities Operations (ADFOSS) and Facilities Operations Managers during planning and construction of projects. This role provides a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff and visitors through effective resource management, maintenance programs and processes that support the vision and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities :

  • Plans, implements, and manages the technical, administrative, and financial aspects of assigned facility projects and/or functional areas of the department
  • Manages internal and external relationships through effective communication
  • Serves as a resource to Directors, Assistant Directors, and Operations Managers to evaluate needs, routine maintenance, equipment needs and requirements
  • Makes recommendations during Capital Construction Projects and acts as a resource to the DFOSS/ADFOSS for construction projects
  • Provides oversight of outside vendors for Facilities Operations/Security Services management
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability for responsibilities, customer service, and professional behavior through personal work ethics, teamwork, and effective communication skills


Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, construction management, or property management required
  • 4 years project management experience accepted in place of the bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years’ experience in construction or facilities management-related field accepted in place of the bachelor’s degree
  • Project experience in healthcare preferred
