Summary:

We are searching for a Manager of Nursing Business Operations – Emergency Center - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for the administrative and human resource activities within the Emergency Center. This position will strategically collaborate with the Clinical Assistant Director, Director and Medical Director to ensure the delivery of high quality, cost effective care in a family centered environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Assists in ensuring the delivery of high quality, cost effective care within a family centered environment
  • Assists in identifying and facilitating performance improvement initiatives that enhance patient care delivery systems
  • Assists in reviewing and refining business operations goals
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships and communicates relevant information to the unit leadership team, medical staff and Emergency Center staff
  • Supervises staff by planning, coordinating, evaluating, scheduling, directing, delegating, counseling, and motivating employees as necessary for the success of the unit
  • Conducts, directs, and or participates in house-wide special projects as identified by administrative team


Qualifications:

Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/or related field required
  • 3 years of professional healthcare experience
  • Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience on a year for year basis
  • Supervisory experience preferred
