Summary:

We are searching for a Medical Staff Coordinator -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will coordinate administrative support and provide resources needed by and for the medical staff and various regulatory agencies relative to the organized medical staff and its functions.

Responsibilities :

 

  • Proficiently coordinates and processes all aspects of credentialing and privileging activities, ensuring compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, established policies and procedures, accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, NCQA, etc.), and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies
  • Acts as a resource for activity directors and coordinators of CME activities to insure that the application materials meet established guidelines
  • Oversees day-to-day operations of the Graduate Medical Education Office
  • Serves as resource to meeting Chairs, committee members and other parties in meeting-related matters
  • Proficiently coordinates all aspects of the Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) process, Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE), and Professional Practice Evaluation (PPE) processes ensuring compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, established policies and procedures, and Joint Commission accreditation standards
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of the provisions of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules & Regulations and Policies and Procedures, and provides assistance to others regarding their content
  • Verifies that all licenses, certifications, professional liability insurance and the like are current and updated in the appropriate data system(s), ensuring compliance with the Medical Staff Bylaws, established policies and procedures, and applicable regulatory agencies
  • Provides administrative support as needed within MSSE department and as delegated by manager/leader


Qualifications:

Skills & Requirements

  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is required for all employees unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • CPMSM or CPCS certification from National Association Medical Staff Services required
  • 2 years administrative, secretarial or customer service experience required
