Summary:

We are searching for a Clinical Data Specialist -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will oversee the data systems of multiple care processes within a single Clinical Program (e.g. one data manager covers Heart Failure, Ischemic Heart Disease, and EP within the Cardiovascular Clinical Program.)

Responsibilities :

  • Provides timely access, effective facilitation, and appropriate use of data tools
  • Authorizes access to source and subject area data marts, reports, scorecards, and dashboards within the EDW on the basis of “need to know.”
  • Facilitates the design and development of efficient documentation tools and data collection instruments to capture the data needed to generate Clinical Program outcomes reports
  • Trains and provides ongoing support to employees and clinical operations personnel in the use of the data collection applications and tools
  • Integrates select local and national databases for the Clinical Program Data Mart to ensure their availability for reporting purposes
  • Works with the Outcomes Analyst and Data Architect to design, develop and refine reports reflective of clinician performance relative to data elements deemed key to the management of clinical processes of care
  • Works collaboratively with Clinical Program leaders and Evidence-based Practice Outcomes Center to review current literature and to identify and consult national experts concerning key clinical processes
  • Works collaboratively with Clinical Program leaders and Evidence-based Practice Outcomes Center to build and maintain appropriate and relevant clinical guidelines and order sets
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of proven project management principles including Resource allocation, cost tracking, monitoring project scope and project risk management


Qualifications:

  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is required for all employees unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
  • Master’s degree in a clinical discipline such as nursing, business, informatics, or other healthcare required
  • BSN degree preferred
  • Transplant experience preferred
  • Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) and R programming language experience preferred
  • 3 years data and dashboard management experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred
  • 5 years healthcare experience required
