We’re hunting for a Respiratory Care Practitioner, Advanced, someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will administer respiratory care procedures in a developmentally/age-appropriate manner for patients ranging from neonates to adults.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Performs patient care and related activities according to policy and/or guidelines. In compliance with MD order to provide optimal patient outcome.
• Perform patient care assessment.
• Performs medication delivery.
• Performs airway clearance techniques.
• Performs pulmonary function testing.
• Provides ventilatory support.
• Performs department specific specialty tasks.
• Documents patient-related activities according to policy/guidelines accurately in a legible manner.
• Facilitates good communication with Physician, Nursing, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate optimal patient care.
• Provides instruction to patients and families.
• Expands professional knowledge base and clinical capabilities.

Skills & Requirements
• Required Technical diploma Respiratory certification/registry program
• Associate degree A.M.A. approved program in respiratory care or bachelor's degree A.M.A. approved program in respiratory care
• Required Licenses/Certifications
o RCP - Lic- Respiratory Care - RCP by the State of Texas
o RRT CERT - Cert-Reg Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• Preferred BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support
• Preferred 1 year of clinical experience in both critical and non-critical care areas and preferred 6 months experience in critical care
