We are searching for a Senior Sleep Center Technologist -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will perform sleep studies and document results according to facility policy and procedures. Excellent communication skills are essential for this position. The Sr. Sleep Technologist, performs procedures appropriate to their competence and credentials. The Sr. Sleep Technologist, is primarily responsible for conducting nighttime sleep studies.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Provides quality patient-centered neurodiagnostic sleep studies
• Demonstrates a mastery of technical and procedural requirements to consistently produce high quality neurodiagnostic sleep studies; can adapt all procedures to clinical circumstances; monitors and/or eliminates causes of artifact; and consistently and properly labels recordings
• Performs neurodiagnostic testing within the Neurophysiology laboratory and as required, in inpatient units according to departmental and AAST standards of care
• Ensures electrode application in adherence with the International 10–20 System
• Functions independently and can apply basic, intermediate, and advanced waveform recognition, relevant medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, infection control, current HIPPA practices
• Demonstrates knowledge of product allergies, movement restrictions and different levels of consciousness the patient may experience
• Performs patient safety measures in accordance with institutional policies, procedures, standards and/or guidelines
• Conducts efficient and accurate scoring, and documenting of sleep studies. Scores sleep/wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines
• When requested performs the below day time duties including conducts efficient and accurate scoring, and reporting of sleep studies
• Communicates effectively with peers and interdisciplinary team
• Maintains Environment of Care
• Performs other essential job duties

Skills & Requirements
• Required H.S. Diploma or GED
• Preferred Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program) sleep program
• Licenses/Certifications:
o Required BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association Basic Life Support
o Required RPSGT - Reg Polysomnographic Technology by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)
o Preferred RST - Registered Sleep Technologist by the American Board of Sleep Medicine
• Required 2 years' experience in pediatric polysomnography (sleep studies)
