We’re hunting for a Logistics Technician (furniture Installer), someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will execute move logistics processes to include move planning, and ensure successful outcomes of operational move requests.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
•   Meets regularly with direct supervisor to review operational requests and assess alignment with RFS master schedule.
•   Reviews Requests for Service (RFS) document or provides/receives verbal instructions to determine material and/or equipment needs.
•   Confers with end user/client to confirm define Request for Service (RFS) scope, schedule and outline initial plan, identifies path of travel.
•   Communicates expectations in terms of increased traffic, noise, and other disruptions to end user/client.
•   Attaches identifying tag/labels to furniture and equipment or mark them with identifying information.
•   Disassembles and assembles furniture.
•   Prepares furniture and packing materials for transport.
•   Loads and unloads furniture utilizing the appropriate strapping.
•   Operates lift equipment while adhering to all safety procedures.
•   Assists in maintaining furniture warehouse in neat and organized manner.
•   Proactively identifies issues and takes appropriate action to achieve resolution.
•   Offers individual expertise to assist others in attaining positive outcomes.

Skills & Requirements
•   Required H.S. Diploma or GED
•   Required at least 2 years experience in construction, carpentry and/or moving furniture/equipment
•   This position is responsible for driving a vehicle. Incumbent must obtain a Valid Texas Drivers’ license within 90 days of entering the role and have a current safe and clear driving record as defined in the company Fleet Safety Policy.
•   Knowledge of installing/moving Steelcase, Haworth and/or similar modular furniture systems
•   Ability to read and understand CAD plans. Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude; understanding of project management principles
•   Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities
•   Installer skills including knowledge of basic tools, moving equipment, and packaging/padding to prevent equipment damage is required
