We are searching for a Decision Support Analyst -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will assist leadership (managers to executive leaders) in assessing the impact of strategic and financial decision points which involve modeling and data analytics of large data sets, often times summarizing into high impact communications. This position works with all levels of authority inclusive of executive and board levels, for decision making and actions. In some cases, a Senior Decision Support Analyst will be budgeted in an operating department and have matrixed reporting responsibility to that particular department supporting their focused needs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
 

  • Performs monthly analysis using big data, statistics, and research to manage medical expenses within the capitated dollars received from the state and promote high quality delivery of services.
  • Takes active role in the development of analytical methodologies to evaluate workforce planning approach in all areas of the organization, utilization, performance by type of service & risk group and benchmarking across the organization.
  • Actively contributes to achievement of departmental goals, as identified in Departments annual business plan, including specific departmental process improvement plans, and other duties as assigned.
  • Able to interpret and transform large datasets, cleaning, aggregating, mapping, and converting it to meet the business requirements needs.  
  • Develops engaging, clear, and actionable data visualizations to support data driven decisions making aligned with leaderships priorities and Key Metric Reporting.  
  • Lead, oversee and perform projects and analysis related to financial, workflow, and strategic analysis and planning
  • Supports preparation efforts and data request for presentations at any level of authority. 
  • Communicates clearly and effectively about newfound insights, results of an analysis, and other project related updates. 
  • Provide consultation, support, communication and training to teams and clients on campaign management tools and / or processes
  • Supports management in the development of position control processes and procedures that align with the organization workforce planning strategy. 
  • Oversees the technical accuracy and data integrity and reviews reconciliation of other staff members 

Skills & Requirements

  • Required bachelor's degree finance, accounting, business or healthcare
    • Preferred master's degree
  • Required 2 years finance, accounting, or related business field
    • 4 years of experience in data analysis preferred 
    • Master’s degree will substitute for two (2) years of work experience.
