We are searching for an Employee Relations Consultant -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide direction and guidance to all levels by analyzing, recommending, assisting in the development of and administering various Human Resources programs, plans, policies and procedures in a consistent manner; advising both leadership and staff regarding resolution of various issues/concerns; and coordinating a variety of activities related to fair employment practices, laws and regulations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
•    Provides daily direction, guidance, and counseling to leadership and employees.
•    Responds to questions ranging from simple to complex within 24 hours of initial inquiry regarding employment issues and application of policies.
•    Interprets policies and practices for employees and leadership, ensuring consistent application of the same within regulatory parameters.
•    Conducts one-on-one meetings with employees or leadership, obtaining pertinent information, determining applicability of policies/procedures to the issue at hand, recommending an action plan and providing follow-up as necessary.
•    Coordinates the Employee Problem Solving (EPS) process, including initial meeting(s), Step One Mediation, Step Two Committee Meeting, and final notification to all involved parties, and ensures that all steps are followed within established time frames 100% of the time.
•    Conducts investigations for complaints of sexual harassment, discrimination, gross misconduct or other allegations received via the Confidential Hotline and complete investigations within established time frames.
•    Responds to unemployment and other regulatory requests or claims.
•    Collect, report, and maintain data for biannual background check compliance.

Skills & Requirements
•    Associate degree
•    3 years’ experience in Human Resources
•    A Juris Doctor degree (JD) will substitute for the experience requirement.
