We’re looking for a Director of Employee Relations, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position you will effectively lead employee relations system-wide. Work with leadership and executive teams to develop, implement, and administer policies and processes on a strategic level in support of organizational goals. Collaborate and coordinate with other HR Leaders on employment, compensation, benefits, training and development, and organization development initiatives and issues.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
•    Provide strategic direction to the Employee Relations function and ensure processes/practices meet departmental and organizational needs. Bring innovation to the Employee Relations function by thinking differently – promoting a proactive approach that supports the organization’s future-focus, including training and positive cultural activities that challenge traditional models.
•    Partner with other HR functional leaders to ensure positive Employee Relations focus is present across all HR programs and activities. Collaborate with leaders throughout the organization to proactively manage Employee Relations, building trust while increasing accountability. Continually emphasize the impact and linkage of positive and effective Employee Relations to promotion of communal mindset and overall high organizational performance.
•    Review department performance, effect change as needed to improve service, simplify workflow, and assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
•    Oversee the processes of the teams and serve as an expert on high-level issues.
•    Lead and provide performance coaching, development, work guidance, and appraisal of team member’s performance. Serve as a high performing coach, working with team members to enhance strengths and to overcome potential limitations. Ensure staff are qualified, motivated, and challenged. Ensure a high performing, mutually supporting, customer focused team culture that is fully accountable to the organization for services and support delivered.
•    Develop and implement service/departmental-based priorities that support the organization’s strategic plan and continually improve performance as measured by department statistics and trends, benchmarks, and initiatives.
•    Facilitate, participate, and collaborate in interdepartmental teams and committees to ensure Texas Children’s operations, programs etc. are integrated and aligned with Texas Children’s strategic plan.

Skills & Requirements
•    Required bachelor's degree
•    Required 5 years' Experience in Human Resources and 3 years Management/leadership experience 

•    Preferred healthcare experience and specific leadership in employee relations
