We’re looking for a Laboratory Systems Analyst III, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position you will manage all phases of system implementation or upgrade projects as well as production services.  Members also participate in reviewing and recommending improvements to system use for operations or process control. Analysts are also involved in assessment and modification of 
systems configuration, testing, debugging, and documenting changes to applications. Additional responsibilities include consultation with customers, workflow assessment relative to system use, administration, documentation and quality assurance related to application deployment and use.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
•    Systems Analysis & Management
•    Provide consultation and direction to end users (EU) and departmental leadership on workflow design and revision, process improvement, quality and safety that can be realized with appropriate implementation of LIS functionality.
•    Assist Pathology leaders in understanding LIS configuration options and potential impact on operational efficiency and quality.
•    Perform maintenance and modification of system configuration as needed to address vendor releases of “patches” or other updates to LIS applications.
•    Assist in managing changes to LIS applications to ensure appropriate testing, validation, documentation and order of precedence for all planned modifications of systems.
•    Assume technical leadership role in LIS management in the absence of an administrative leader or faculty member responsible for Pathology LISs.
•    Maintain expertise and competency with LIS as new versions of LIS are released and assist in advising Pathology leadership on advisability of upgrading.
•    Participate in LIS vendor user group options and provide LIS team members and leaders of information gained via this mechanism.
•    Provide technical leadership and oversight to less experienced analysts.
•    Systems Interface & Epic/Path Epic Liaison
•    Provide leadership for project management.  Initiate, plan, organize and execute internal and or collaborative LIS projects involving Pathology, Information Services (IS), vendors (e.g., reference laboratory), etc.
•    Provide technical guidance in the development of training programs and materials for new end users and LIS Analysts.
•    Assist IS personnel and vendors with installation and configuration of said devices when appropriate.
•    Use report writing tools and, where necessary, SQL or other programming languages to extract and format data from LISs needed for quality, operational and other purposes within Pathology.
Skills & Requirements
•    Required bachelor's degree
•    Preferred bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, nursing, biology, medical laboratory technology, or other healthcare or general studies field
•    Required 7 years' Experience in information systems management
