We are searching for an Employee Development Specialist, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will participate in the design, development, and presentation of training programs and education projects to enhance the competency and performance of staff. This may include assistance to other staff who participate in appointment scheduling, room management, registration, charge capture, and other similar processes. This also includes ongoing maintenance of training documentation, including updates and revisions to documentation as work processes evolve.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
•    Participates in the development and maintenance of an Education Program that outlines the strategy, roles, processes and tools to support ongoing education.
•    Participates in the development of Education Program strategy, processes, and tools, including but not limited to, classroom, computer-based training (CBT), multimedia and/or other forms of training delivery.
•    Participate in the ongoing maintenance and revision of the Education Program, including but not limited to, updating training documents to reflect current business processes, updating training documents to reflect policy and procedure changes and updating training materials to encompass application functionality due to upgrade or enhancements.
•    Documents training initiatives to include attendance, competency test score and any follow up actions in a centralized repository, i.e. Chex system.
•    Ensure training programs are scheduled and implemented using relevant learning activities, group and individual exercises to promote an interactive learning environment.
•    Prepares training aids such as participant guides, handouts, evaluations, overheads and other visual aids to enhance participant learning.
•    Discusses relevant feedback from training initiatives with manager and offers suggestions to revise or adjust course content and methodology as needed.  Offers recommendations for future training needs.
•    Participate in the development and ongoing maintenance of policies and procedures specific to the Training Program.
•    Delivers structured and customized training and development programs for employees.  
•    Provides new employee orientation.  Delivers structured training customized to the employee’s specific job function.  Ensures competency testing is completed, and an action plan is in place for noted deficiencies.
•    Actively participates in various organizational and departmental committees and teams.

Skills & Requirements
•    Required H.S. Diploma or GED - Bachelor's preferred
•    3 years healthcare work-related or teaching experience

Experience with EPIC and/or revenue cycle preferred
