We’re searching for a Director of the Heart Center, someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will direct the Administrative and Clinical Service Line Programs for the Heart Center. Provide direction and oversight to the Heart Center and its programs, and coordinate the various programs, resources and personnel to achieve the output of a cost effective state-of-the-art, internationally recognized and top ranked Heart Center. Help set and achieve the Strategic Plan and maintain efficient and effective daily operations.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high quality, age-appropriate, cost-effective care and/or service within a family-centered care environment, as measured by quality outcomes, financial analysis reports, patient satisfaction results, patient complaints, regulatory compliance, and new programs/initiatives.
- Assure that strategic plans are developed, implemented and evaluated in a systematic manner in line with the overall organization’s strategic plans and initiatives. This includes development, prioritization, and execution of annual and long-term goals for the Heart Center in alignment with the goals and strategic imperatives for the center.
- Mentor and develop leadership team members so as to provide consistent levels of service, set clear role expectations, and hold leaders accountable. Identify and promote ongoing development and growth opportunities for both leaders and staff.
- Ensure the appropriate use and distribution of financial resources, including philanthropic and grant funds for TCHC. Develop and implement revenue and expense budgets and hold leaders accountable to budgets through variance reporting and action planning.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with medical leadership, direct reports and appropriate interdepartmental liaisons to ensure the achievement of identified goals.
- Identify, facilitate, and participate in improvement projects that enhance patient care delivery systems and/or patient satisfaction. Lead, participate and collaborate on interdepartmental teams, work groups and committees that support organizational priorities.
- Extra-Institutional Coordination of Operational and Strategic Planning Activities such as ensure center's interests are coordinated with external institutions in order to achieve desired results via collaboration efforts.
Requirements:
- Required bachelors degree
- Preferred masters degree
- Required 5 years Financial or hospital operations experience, including 2 years of formal leadership experience
