We are searching for a Benefits Manager -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of all Health and Welfare plans, programs, policies, and services in full alignment with Human Resources strategy.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
•    Leads the Benefits department by providing a comprehensive and cost-effective benefits package that retains and attracts employees, develops and manages vendor partner relationships and the administration of; Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision, Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Long Term Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Reimbursement Accounts, and Medical Plan Stop Loss. Also, responsible for Annual Enrollment and Benefit Committee presentations
•    Possesses a working knowledge of all statutory requirements and stays informed on legislative changes impacting employee benefits. Proactively manages processes and programs to remain compliant by ensuring compliance with Federal laws. Accountable for Benefit plan non-discrimination testing, Form 5500 filings, W2, and Medicare reporting
•    Manages team members and team activities by establishing guidelines for individual and team performance to ensure desired outcomes and to meet department and organization goals. Maintains responsibility for completion of job responsibilities, attendance, performance management, customer service, and ongoing competencies.  Provides performance coaching, training, and development opportunities, and arranges appropriate assignments
•    Participates in annual budget development, adheres to budget, and provides financial oversight for Benefits department cost centers. Identifies potential cost reduction opportunities and recommends changes as necessary
•    Evaluates new and existing benefits by analyzing plans, surveys, and other sources of information. Plan, develop, and participate in area and industry surveys. Analyze results of surveys and remain abreast of Benefit trends and other health care issues 
•    In collaboration with the Director of Benefits and Well-Being, provides strategic direction and completes special assignment projects as necessary
•    Ensures that The Joint Commission requirements specific to your department are fulfilled but also understand the linkage between your department’s requirements and those of the integrated delivery system

Skills & Requirements
•    Required bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
•    Preferred master's degree in human resources or related field
•    Required 5 years in Human Resources or another related field
•    Preferred management experience
