We are looking for a Creative Specialist - someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position, you will create visually appealing, engaging and technically sound communications of all types for Texas Children's Health Plan predominantly in print media formats, but also including some electronic and place-based media. This will include conceptualizing, art directing, executing and scheduling on all assigned projects.

Skills & Requirements
- Required bachelor's degree in art, graphic design, illustration or related field
- Master's Degree preferred
- 4 years of related work experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree
- Required 5 years' experience as a graphic designer, illustrator or art director
- Advanced knowledge of design aesthetics, illustration skills (Advanced illustration capability is an important asset for this position) and print production processes; expert-level knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator and InDesign as well as Quark Xpress and PowerPoint
- Experience with HTML, digital ads and video skills - nice to have
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads conceptual development and execution of creative projects (partnered with a designated copywriter), including brochures, advertising, newsletters, signage, tradeshow displays, internal communications and other collateral, while maintaining brand identity.
- Executes projects by designing, illustrating and/or photo art directing and overseeing print production details, maintaining an exceptional standard of quality, and conceptualizing the creative that is in tune with the strategy and parameters of the project brief.
- Review, evaluate and recommend hardware/software/systems improvements while leveraging technology where applicable to improve workflow and reduce costs. Coordinates with IS Mac specialist to facilitate upgrades, or repairs, of equipment and software, and coordinates with creative manager to make sure all necessary design tools and supplies are accessible.
- Review on a daily basis the inventory on site. On weekly basis review inventory off site.
- Conduct weekly production meetings to ensure all material is up-to-date and re-order thresholds met
