We’re looking for an HVAC Mechanic I, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position you will perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for HVAC and associated systems and equipment to ensure a safe environment and operational reliability according to standards established by management team.
• inspections, maintenance and repairs to facilities to provide a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Performs repairs to failed equipment according to established standards and within acceptable timeframes.
• Provides notification of equipment shutdowns to appropriate leadership, departmental personnel, and Service Response Center Operators.
• Maintains documentation to accurately record equipment problems and failures specifically including but not limited to work order completeness.
• Reports major failures and equipment malfunctions to Manager.
• Assists with, oversees and/or inspects repairs or modifications performed by contractors.
• Demonstrates ability to perform HVAC skills.
• Demonstrates ability to perform Unit 200 Duties as required to successfully complete the Unit 200 Competency checklist:
1. Demonstrate knowledge of fire alarm response
2. Demonstrate knowledge of Incident Management Team (IMT) response
3. Demonstrate knowledge of Response to Utility losses
4. Demonstrate the ability to respond to an elevator emergency
5. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with leadership.
• Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving maintenance duties for HVAC and associated systems and equipment according to standards established by management team.
• Demonstrates technical knowledge depth for HVAC and associated systems according to standards established by the management team.
• Demonstrates work product meets the expected criteria.
• Demonstrate accountability for customer service and professional behavior through personal work ethic and teamwork.

Skills & Requirements
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
• Required Licenses & Certifications
o ACR - AC/Refrigeration Contractor by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
o HVACAWC - HVAC State A with C endorse by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Or
o HVACBWE - HVAC State B with E endorse by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Or
o STATENG1 - Stationary Engineer, 1st Grade by the City of Houston Or
o STATENG2 - Stationary Engineer, 2nd Grade by the City of Houston Or
o STATENG3 - Stationary Engineer, 3rd Grade by the City of Houston
• 3 years' experience as an HVAC service-related technician required
• Hospital experience preferred
• High-rise HVAC systems experience preferred
• Refrigeration certification preferred
