We are searching for a Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor (LPC/LMFT/LCSW/PSYCASOC) -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will develop, plan, and delivers evidence-based assessment and therapy services to youth and families. Assesses patient response to treatment and adjusts treatment plan accordingly. Coordinates care with other behavioral health providers and community-based services (e.g., pediatricians, schools)

Qualifications
• Required Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related health science field
• Required 2 years of psychotherapy experience with children and families. Preferred previous employment in health care, a healthcare specialization in schooling or a fieldwork practicum in health care
• Preferred bilingual English/Spanish
• Required Licenses/Certifications
o LPC - Licensed Prof Counselor by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission
o LMFT - Lic Marriage &Family Therapist by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission
o LCSW - Lic Clinical Social Worker by the Texas Department of Health Services
o PSYCASOC - Psychological Associate Licensed Psychological Associate issued by the Texas Department of Health Services

Responsibilities
• Provides evidence-based and developmentally appropriate screenings, assessments, and developmentally appropriate screenings, assessment, and focused psychotherapy in accordance with patient’s/family’s individual and cultural differences. Provides mental/behavioral health screenings/assessments via structured diagnostic interviewing and administration of evidence-based and developmentally appropriate measures to identify presenting symptoms, diagnostic impressions, recommendations, and specific treatment goals. Provides evidence-based psychotherapy for individuals, families, parents, and groups to help patients/families reduce symptoms of mental illness and improve functioning across environments
• Coordinates patient care with community and TCH-based providers. Coordinates care with other behavioral health providers engaged in a patient’s care to ensure selected treatments match the patient’s current diagnosis, symptoms, developmental level, and functioning. Where appropriate, maintains contact with community-based services (e.g., pediatricians, schools) to assess functioning and symptom improvement across environments
• Facilitates patient/family use of community resources. Assesses patient’s/families’ knowledge and utilization of community resources and provides information about additional, appropriate community resources. Assesses patient’s/families’ understanding of the referral information provided and their ability to access the recommended resources
• Pursues Professional Development. Educates self by reading professional literature and attending staff development and continuing education program as evidenced by attendance and CEU records. Demonstrates awareness of required competencies for providing evidence-based assessment therapy services specific to the population and setting where services are to be provided
