We are seeking an Audiology, Clinical Generalist someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will provide the highest quality age-appropriate audiologic care for patients newborn to 21 years of age within the scope of practice and established practice standards for Audiology. The Clinical Generalist functions effectively as a member of the clinical team and supports the mission of the Hospital.

Skills & Requirements

  • Doctorate required, *Doctorate in Audiology preferred
  • Texas Audiology License
  • BLS - Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
  • CCC-A Cert-Audiology (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association within 6 months of position start date) OR
  • ABA-Cert (American Board of Audiology within 6 months of position start date)

Job Duties & Responsibilities
•    Provides diagnostic assessments 
•    Age-appropriate diagnostic assessments and interpretation 
•    Amplification evaluations/dispensing, verification, validation, programming and training 
•    Documentation and patient/family education 
•    Complete documentation meeting departmental standards for content, accuracy and timeliness.  Written reports must accurately and clearly describe history, test results and recommendations 
•    Follow policies and procedures for best practice according to TCH Audiology protocols 
•    Counsels and educates parents regarding test results/recommendations/financial resources 
•    Professional Development
•    Minor clinical duties
•    Serves on audiology committees or specialty teams
