We are searching for a part-time Coordinator of Clinical Support  with Texas Children's Otolaryngology Clinic at The West Campus -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide patient care and excellent customer service. To assist in coordinating flow and provider schedules to manage patient care effectively.

Qualifications

  • Required H.S. Diploma or equivalent with some college coursework preferred
  • Required 2 years experience in a indirect patient care role 
     

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates positive and effective interpersonal skills, communication, and customer service skills. Welcomes and interacts with all patients, families, and visitors in a professional, timely, age appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner. Responds to customer questions with prompt information and/or service related to appointment status, wait time, or unanticipated problems.
  • Welcomes and interacts with all patients, families, and visitors in a professional, timely, age appropriate, and culturally
    sensitive manner.
  • Coordinates daily appointments.
  • Collaborates with clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Participates in Care Coordination
  • Prioritizes incoming phone calls regarding patient care and need for urgent appointment. Schedules and confirms same day and work-in appointments and informs the clinic of appointments. Updates all patient information accurately while the appointment is being made and reminds patient/family of insurance responsibilities.
  • Prioritizes patients to be roomed based on appointment and arrival times and other clinic procedure.
  • Notifies provider of the arrival of the first clinic session patient once patient is roomed.
  • Attends staff meetings or signs attendance records for reading of minutes and attends mandatory training and development activities by established guidelines as evidenced by supervisory observation and written/verbal feedback
