We’re looking for a Dialysis Technician, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position you will manage daily technical duties in the dialysis unit that aid and support in providing safe operation and monitoring of dialysis equipment. The technician participates in supporting the delivery of high quality, family centered and developmentally appropriate patient care at the unit level.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Maintains clinical competency by ensuring that physiologic, psychosocial, and developmental needs of the patient are met within a family-centered care environment.
Prepares and disassembles hemodialysis equipment daily or as needed, according to procedure and dialysis prescription. (Preparation of heparin and normal saline as directed by the Medical Practice Act of Texas – section 3.06 (d) (1)
Monitors the water purification system each patient shift for compliance with standards for water treatment used for dialysis described by AAMI (American Association of Medical Instrumentation) standards.
Assists with the treatment of hemodialysis patients as assigned by the supervisory nursing staff in compliance with departmental standards.
Maintains dialysis equipment according to prescribed procedures and with accountability for cost effective management while helping to ensure that the department achieves patient care goals.
Demonstrates effective communication skills with health care team and other hospital departments.
Manages time so that workflow is efficient and consistent.

Skills & Requirements
Required H.S. Diploma or GED
CCHT - Cert-Cert Cl Hemodialysis TECH and BONENT certification
