We are searching for a Motion Analysis Lab Biomechanist -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will ensure motion analysis laboratory operations, maintenance and calibration of equipment, manages systems operations, data management, participate in program development, provide technical guidance and participate in the clinical and research functions of the Motion Analysis Lab Program. This role provides education, training and support necessary to maintain the integrity of the lab. You will also actively collaborate with key stakeholders to help ensure the delivery of optimal quality care in a cost effective manner in a family centered environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitors and assures proper configuration, integration, and operation of all computer systems, data collection, equipment and associated peripheral devices in the motion analysis lab
  • Functions as system manager for Motion Analysis Lab computer network, establishing and maintaining network users and user environment
  • Assists in research activities including research design, data collection, data analysis and scientific writing
  • Designs and develops motion data collection and analysis hardware and software enhancements as needed
  • Participates in the development and implementation of clinical and research protocols
  • Designs and procures equipment and software to meet the needs of the department
  • Provides educational services, training and support to meet the needs of the department
  • Informs leader or designee of all patient/personal injury or unsafe situations, anticipated problems and unusual situations. Completes appropriate related documentation within 24 hours according to hospital policy

Skills & Requirements

  • Master’s degree in biomechanics, exercise physiology, exercise science or neuroscience required
  • 5 years’ experience in motion analysis field required
