We are searching for a Senior Bio-Medical Equipment Technician-- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will perform preventative maintenance and repair work on a wide variety of medical equipment, some complex devices, systems, and networks.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Performs inspections and preventive maintenance on hospital equipment. Performs electrical safety inspections on equipment and accessories as assigned. Completes preventive maintenance assignments working with an annualized preventive maintenance schedule within the time frame specified, requiring no supervisory follow-up.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, as necessary. Provides in-depth troubleshooting on devices, systems, and networks. Responds to and troubleshoots service calls in compliance with Departmental Policy.
• Provides project support as needed. Participates in project planning, tasks, and leadership as needed. Communicates project status and progress with co-workers, third parties, and client departments.
• Provides technical support and leadership as needed. Acts as technical resource on stand alone devices and small system components. Assists fellow technicians on complex repairs.
• Performs Incident Investigations. Initiates incident investigation upon notification of incident in compliance with Departmental documentation policy. Completes and submits to supervisor all associated documentation in accordance with guidelines outlined in the departmental policies.
• Ensures Quality of Group Work. Participates in quality control checks on all group technical work output. Works with fellow technicians to resolve any quality issues within the work group.
• Documents and records daily work in appropriate systems. Documents all work, and materials used in compliance with the departmental record keeping system daily achieving the departmental labor recovery target. Completes requisitions and other forms and returns documents appropriately as outlined in departmental policies.
• Effectively utilizes departmental resources. Properly utilizes tools, computers, test equipment, telephones, pagers, workbench area and other departmental resources in accordance to departmental policies. Ensures proper usage and cleanup of the Fabrication Shop, break room, locker room and other commons areas.
• Attend various meetings providing relevant information, as necessary.
• Review, update, correct, and/or create preventative maintenance procedures for equipment within assigned area.

Skills & Requirements
• Required H.S. Diploma or equivalent. Preferred bachelor's degree in Electronics or Biomedical Engineering Technology or associate degree in Electronics or Biomedical Engineering Technology
• A bachelor's degree may substitute for four (4) years of experience. An associate degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
• 8 years' experience in servicing Biomedical equipment in a hospital, industrial or military setting. Other electronic equipment service experiences can be considered
