We are searching for an Assistant Director of Philanthropy focusing on Corporate Relations - -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for securing at least $4-5 million in philanthropic funds for the organization by managing a portfolio of assigned, qualified prospects and donors, to ensure their retention as continuing donors to the organization and to progressively upgrade their level of giving and involvement. In addition to individual fundraising efforts, role is to lead a successful team of Mid-Level and/or Major Gift fundraisers and help develop fundraising strategies for the organization's top priorities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Raise $4-5 million annually in gifts and commitments
- Manage the health, composition and ongoing activity of portfolio of assigned, qualified major gift prospects/donors
- Create and execute cultivation and solicitation strategies for portfolio prospects
- Create and execute stewardship strategies for portfolio donors
- Provide leadership and management oversight to a team of Mid-Level and/or Major Gift philanthropy advisors, including ongoing mentoring, coaching and development
- Support and help guide strategy development for individual team members to ensure highest potential to meet fundraising goals Manage the health, composition and ongoing activity of portfolio of assigned, qualified major gift prospects/donors
- Lead development and execution of strategy for top organizational priorities/initiatives
- Work closely as part of Major Gifts leadership team to help direct and advance processes and programs that impact philanthropy advisors’ ability to effectively secure funds
- Participate in strategy sessions with team members and colleagues on key major gift prospect
Skills & Requirements
- Required associate's degree
- Preferred bachelor's degree
- Required 8-year fundraising experience AND 1 year required formal supervisory experience
- Direct Individual fundraising with specific track record in major gifts preferred
- Knowledge of fundraising planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, the ability to work with a wide variety of personalities, and the ability to effectively plan, set goals, execute tactics and drive for results to meet goals. Must also be a strong, positive communicator, both verbally and written, with a creative approach to building relationships. Must be a team player and collaborative contributor.
