“I couldn’t be more proud of my team,” says Associate Professor & Medical Director of the Pediatric Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, Dr. Christian Niedzwecki, DO, MS.
Nine years ago, when the opportunity arose to form a new Acute Pediatric Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Texas Children’s, Dr. Niedzwecki jumped at the chance to join a growing team and support children with disabilities and special health care needs. Dr. Niedzwecki represents Texas Children’s values and culture as he ignites the spark in his team to work together in devoted unison, achieving lasting results for our patients and their families.
“Rehabilitation and leadership requires teams of people from all different specialties and walks of life to be comprehensive and responsive to inevitable change,” says Dr. Niedzwecki. “You bring individuals together and you grow them and help them along in a way that brings them together as a team.”
This unified approach has allowed Dr. Niedzwecki and his team to make a meaningful impact – one measured by patient’s achievements, not just at discharge but years down the road. His team is comprised of individuals who’ve made it their lifelong pursuit to provide the best patient care, helping patients and families in a way they can’t be helped elsewhere.
